Safety significant parts
Product safety should be considered when a component replacement is made in any
area of the projector. Components indicated by mark (
schematic diagram designate components in which safety can be of special signifi-
cance. It is, therefore, particularly recommended that the replacement of the parts
must be made by exactly the same parts.
-- Assembly Power --
When it is replaced to the new assembly power.
* Factory adjustment of the new assembly power has
completed. Readjustment is unnecessary.
When the component parts of assembly-power are
replaced.
* Readjust the following adjustment item.
1. DC voltage adjustment.
-- Unit-lamp-ballast --
In case this unit is fault, replace the unit
completely, do not replace the individual
component. Readjustment is unnecessary.
Replace memory ICs in the follow-
ing procedure.
1. Remove IC871 and IC1811 from an old
(damaged) assembly-main.
2. Attach IC removed to new assembly-
main. The data recorded is all taken over
to a new assembly-main, readjustment is
unnecessary.
-- Relay-lens --
When the relay-lens is replaced.
* Readjust the following adjustment item.
Relay-lens adjustment
-- Integrator-lens-out and prism-PBS --
When the integrator-lens-out and prism-PBS
are replaced.
* Readjust the following adjustment item.

When it is replaced to the new terminal-board-AV.
* Factory adjustments of the new terminal-board-AV
have completed. Readjustments are unnecessary.

4. AV Color and Tint adjustments
-- Unit-PFC. --
In case this unit is fault, replace the unit
completely, do not replace the individual
component. Readjustment is unnecessary.
Assembly-main.
When memory ICs are not replaced.
(1). The life data of a lamp starts from an initial
value compulsorily. Manually, this life data cannot
be set up.
(2). Readjust the following adjustment items.
5. Fans driving voltage adjustments
6. Video center DC adjustments
7. PSIG signal adjustments
8. PC contrast adjustments-1
9. AV contrast adjustments-2
10. Panel driving signal adjustments -AV
11. Panel driving signal adjustments -PC
12. Flicker reduction.
13. White balance adjustments
14. Unevenness color correction
-- Condenser-lens --
When the Condenser-lens is replaced.
* Readjust the following adjustment item.

-- Polarization-glasses--
When the Polarization-glasses are replaced.
* Readjust the following adjustment item.
Polarizer adjustment
Note:
DO NOT REPLACE OR ORDER RESISTOR AND CAPACITOR
PARTS FOLLOWING THE SPECIFICATIONS SHOWN IN THE
SCHEMATIC DIAGRAMS. Always check for the correct specifica-
tions in the parts list.
Part order must contain Chassis No., Part No., and descriptions.
* Readjust the following adjustment item.
-- The component parts inside the optical unit --
