9.3. Disassembly from the traverse
unit, assembly of the optical

9.3.1. Disassemly
1. Remove the connector, and take out the OPU FFC.
2. Remove the Mid base.
3. Loosen the 4 tabs with tweezers to remove the drive
cover.
Note:
a. New drive cover needs to be replaced for the parts will
deform after removal.
b. Do not touch OPU, shaft/countershaft, shaft motor or
stepping motor during removal.
c. Make sure there is no grease or fingerprint on the sur-
face after removal.
4. Press down the handle A of the two springs, and remove
the shaft with OPU.
