Problem
The 'ready to flash light'
lights up green but the
device does not produce a
flash when I press the flash
button.
The device produces a
strange smell.
The skin feels more
sensitive than usual during
treatment/I experience
discomfort when I use the
device.
The skin reaction after
treatment last longer than
usual.
Possible cause
The device needs to be reset
The attachment or the filter
glass is dirty.
You have not removed the
hairs on the area to be
treated properly. These hairs
may get burned and can
cause the smell.
The light intensity setting you
use is too high.
You did not remove the hairs
on the areas to be treated.
The UV filter of the light exit
window is broken.
You treated an area for which
the device is not intended.
The device is not suitable for
your skin tone.
You have used a light
intensity setting which is too
high for you.
Solution
To reset the device, switch it off and
switch it on again.
Clean the attachment carefully.
Pretreat your skin before you use Lumea.
Check if you have selected the right light
intensity setting. If necessary, select a
lower setting.
Pretreat your skin before you use Lumea.
If the UV filter is broken do not use the
device anymore. Contact the Consumer
Care Center in your country, your Philips
dealer or a Philips service center.
Never use the device on the following
areas: inner labia, anus, nipples, areolas,
lips,inside the nostrils and ears, around
the eyes and near the eyebrows. Men
must not use it on face or on the
scrotum.
Do not use the device if you have skin
type VI, a brownish black or darker skin
tone.
Select a lower intensity next time.See
