Problem
The device produces a
strange smell.

treatment last longer than
usual.
Possible cause
The attachment or the filter
glass is dirty.
You have not removed
thehairs on the area to
betreated properly. These
hairsmay get burned and
cancause the smell.
The light intensity setting
youuse is too high.
You did not remove the

The UV filter of the light
exitwindow is broken.
You treated an area for
whichthe device is not
intended.
The device is not suitable
foryour skin tone.
You have used a light
intensity setting which is too
high for you.
Solution
Clean the attachment carefully.
Pretreat your skin before you use Lumea.
Check if you have selected the right
lightintensity setting. If necessary,
select alower setting.

If the UV filter is broken do not use
thedevice anymore. Contact the
ConsumerCare Center in your country, your
Philipsdealer or a Philips service center.
Never use the device on the

skintype VI, a brownish black or darker
