Viewing a Variable Without Recalling It. The fillview! function
shows you the contents of a variable without putting that number in
the X-register. The display is labeled for the variable, such as:
fl = 1234.5678
If the number is too large to fit completely in the display with its
label, it is rounded and the rightmost digits are dropped. (An expo
nent is displayed in full.) To see the full mantissa, press (Ml show I•
Hi view Iis most often used in programming, but it is useful anytime
you want to view a variable's value without affecting the contents of
the stack.
To cancel the VIEW display, press ® or [c] once.
Reviewing Variables in the VAR Catalog
The Hi mem I(memory) function provides information about memory:
Number of bytes available in memory

To review the values of any or all non-zero variables:
1. Press HFmImI {VflR}.
2. Press (•] or |§[a3 to move the list and display the desired vari
able. (Note the va annunciator, indicating that the arrow keys
are active.)
To see all the significant digits of a number displayed in the
{VAR} catalog, press Hi show I. (If it is a binary number with
more than 12 digits, use the (7|] and |z+| keys to see the rest.)
3. To copy a displayed variable from the catalog to the X-register,
press I enter I.
4. To clear a variable to zero, press Wl clear Iwhile it is displayed
in the catalog.
5. Press [c] to cancel the catalog (or [±\ to back up to the menu).
