Removing and replacing a FRU

3010 ThinkPad Reserve Edition whole system

Following FRUs are included in ThinkPad Reserve Edition whole system FRU.
v Battery pack
v Keyboard (U.S. English)
v Hard disk drive
v Extended latch knob
Since no wireless LAN card or wireless WAN card is shipped with ThinkPad
Reserve Edition whole system FRU, you need to remove the card from the
defective computer and reuse it in the new computer. For how to replace those
cards, refer "1110 PCI Express Mini Card for wireless LAN" on page 73 or "1120
PCI Express Mini Card for wireless WAN" on page 75.

If the customer uses a country-unique keyboard in the defective computer and it
is reusable, you need to remove it from the defective computer and reuse it in
the new computer. For how to replace the keyboard, refer "1070 Keyboard" on
page 65.
If the hard disk drive in the defective computer is reusable, you need to remove
it from the defective computer and reuse it in the new computer. For how to
replace the hard disk drive, refer "1050 Hard disk drive cover, hard disk drive,
and hard disk drive rubber rails" on page 62.
For how to replace the extended latch knob, refer "1040 Leather front cover,
leather cover, and extended latch knob assembly" on page 59.
