If both LEDs remain off and you have checked that your connections are correct,
this indicates a lack of power in the HDMI circuit. The table on the next page gives
you a guide to what each combination of indicators mean.
1. Attach the HDMI cable going to your digital
video source (DVD Player, A/V Receiver, Satellite
Receiver, etc.) to the "Source" HDMI jack on the
HD588.
IMPORTANT: 24AWG cables are recommended
for all connections.
2. Attach the HDMI cable going to the video
display (HDTV, Projector, Plasma display,
etc.) to the connection on the HD588 marked
"Display."
IMPORTANT: For 1080p signals, a maximum
length of 15m (49ft) is recommended. For 720p, a
maximum length of 40m (131ft) is recommended.
The Green LED indicates the connection has been
made correctly and you are ready to enjoy your digital
video programming.
The Red LED or no LED indicates improper
connection. Reversing the cables connected to the
HD588 should correct the problem.
