1. Load the documents into feeder{face up} / or on glass {face down}
2. Press E-Mail
3. Type your email address in the FROM Field.
4. Press Enter.
5. Type a subject into SUBJECT Line.
6. Press Enter
7. Type a valid email address in the TO field.
8. Press Enter. {you can repeat this process for multiple email addresses}
9. Press Start

    Loading a document You can load a stack of pages in the ADF or load one page at a time on the glass. See “What documents you can place in the digital sender” on page 30 if you need help determining which method to use.
  • Page 3 To load a document on the glass Raise the ADF unit to reveal the glass. Place the page face down on the glass, top edge toward the back. Align the document in the upper- right corner of the glass. Lower the ADF unit.
  • Page 4 To clear jams at the end of a page Raise the control panel and then the document tray. Remove the jammed paper. Close the document tray and push the control panel down securely. The control panel prompts you to do one of the following: Reinsert the paper and press to continue sending.

    Clearing paper jams When you have a paper jam, the control panel displays this message: Paper jam. Open the cover and remove the paper. Use the appropriate procedure below to clear the jam. To clear jams at the start of a page Raise the control panel.
  • Page 6 To clear jams inside the ADF Raise the control panel. Raise the ADF unit. Open the delivery guide by grasping the small plastic handles on either side of the delivery guide and pulling down. Remove the jammed paper.
  • Page 7 Close the delivery guide sheet by aligning its holes with the small plastic spindles on the delivery guide and pressing down. Close the ADF unit. Push the control panel down securely. The control panel prompts you to do one of the following: Reinsert the paper and press to continue sending.
