MAINTENANCE
Troubleshooting (Continued)
PROBLEM
The backlight is OFF.
The touch panel does
not work.
Programmed scan does
not start.
Memory scan does not
start.
Select memory scan
does not start.
Cannot hear the speech
after pushing
.
The frequency readout
is blinking.
"OVF" is displayed.
The touch screen is not
correctly working.
Spectrum scope's
sensitivity is too low,
and only strong signals
are displayed.
When selecting a
firmware file, "- No File
-" is displayed.
FSK (RTTY) signal is
not demodulated.
FSK (RTTY) signal
is received but not
decoded.
POSSIBLE CAUSE
The
indicator lights. (The
Panel Lock function is activated.)
The same frequencies have been set
in scan edge memory channels.
There is no entered memory
channel.
In the Memory mode, "BLANK" is
displayed instead of frequency.
0 or only 1 memory channel is
assigned as a Select channel.
The speech level is too low.
No external reference signal is input. Check the [REF I/O 10MHz] connector
An excessively strong signal is
received.
The touched point and the detected
point may be different.
The reference level is too low.
No firmware file is not found on the
SD card.
The inserted SD card is not
formatted.
The firmware file name has been
changed.
The Mark or Space frequency is
incorrect.
The shift setting is reversed.
Push
Lock function.
Set different frequencies in scan edge
memory channels (P00A/P00B ~
P49A/P49B).
Enter at least 2 memory channels.
Write a frequency to the blank channel. p. 8-2
Assign at least 2 memory channels as
Select channels.
Adjust the speech level in the Set
mode.
setting or external signal source.
Set [RF GAIN] to a lower level.
Turn OFF the Preamp.
Turn ON the attenuator.
Calibrate the touch screen.
Set the reference level to a higher
level.
Copy the firmware file to the SD card.
Format the SD card with the built-in
format function.
Download the firmware again.
Set the appropriate Mark and Space
frequencies.
Select the FSK-R (Reverse) mode.
