Description
Tap this button to record a still image during
video recording.
Switches the recording mode.
Using the Silent Mode
When the Silent mode is used, the LCD monitor darkens and operation
sounds will not be output. Use this mode to record quietly in dark places such
as during a performance.
T appears when "SILENT MODE" is set to "ON".

To mute only the operating sound, set "OPERATION SOUND" in the menu
0
to "OFF" instead of using the silent mode.
Operating procedure

A Tap the B button.
The top menu appears.

B Tap T.
C Tap "ON".
Useful Settings for Recording
When "AUTO POWER OFF" is set to "ON", this unit turns itself off
0
automatically to conserve power when it is not operated for 5 minutes.

When "TOUCH PRIORITY AE/AF" is set to "FACE TRACKING", this unit
0
detects faces and automatically adjusts its brightness and focus to record
the faces more clearly.

If the remaining space on the built-in memory runs out while "SEAMLESS
0
RECORDING" is set to "ON", recording continues after switching to the
SD card.
When "DATE/TIME RECORDING" is used, the date and time can be

recorded together with the video.

Caution :
Do not expose the lens to direct sunlight.

Do not use this unit in the rain, snow, or places with high humidity like the
0
bathroom.
Do not use this unit in places subject to excessive humidity or dust, as well
0
as places exposed to steam or smoke directly.
While this unit may be used with the LCD monitor reversed and closed,
0
the temperature rises more easily. Leave the LCD monitor open when
using this unit for long periods of time, or in places exposed to direct
sunlight or high temperatures.
The power may turn off to protect the circuit if the temperature of this unit
0
rises too much.
If the temperature of this unit rises during recording, c changes color to
0
yellow as a notification.
Do not remove the battery pack, AC adapter, or SD card when the
0
POWER/ACCESS lamp is lighted. The recorded data may become
unreadable.
This unit is a microcomputer-controlled device. Electrostatic discharge,
0
external noise and interference (from a TV, a radio, etc.) might prevent it
from functioning properly. In such a case, turn off the power after closing
the monitor screen, then remove the AC adapter and battery. This unit will
be reset.
