Checking the fuel system
WARNING
Gasoline is highly flammable and explo-
●
sive. Failure to check for and repair any
fuel leakage could result in fire or explo-
sion. A fire or explosion can cause se-
vere injury or death.
When checking the fuel system, shut off
●
the engines, do not smoke, and avoid
spilling gasoline.
Fuel in hose is pressurized. Fuel can
●
spray out and cause injury or a fire haz-
ard if a fuel line is disconnected.
Do not attempt to run the engines with a
●
fuel line disconnected.
Check the fuel system for leaks, cracks, and
malfunctions. If any problem is found, consult
a Yamaha Boat Dealer.
Checking points:

The United States Coast Guard requires that
all inboard boats like your boat have visual ac-
cess to fuel filler hoses and clamps. The fuel
filler hoses and clamps can be accessed from
3 locations: the fuel tank compartment, en-
gine compartment, and rear underseat stor-
age compartment (port).
To check the fuel system:
(1) Open the fuel tank compartment, and
then check the fuel filler hose and clamp.
