2. Press the Setup button.
The Setup menu screen is displayed.
3. Select Device settings and then press the OK button.
The Device settings screen is displayed.
4. Select LAN settings and then press the OK button.
5. Select Wireless Direct and then press the OK button.
6. Select a setting item and then press the OK button.
Update SSID/PW
Updates the identifier (SSID) and the password for Wireless Direct.
Select Yes and then press the OK button on the confirmation screen.
You can check the updated identifier (SSID) in SSID on the Wireless router info screen.
Change device name
Changes the printer's name displayed on the Wi-Fi Direct compatible device.
Follow the procedure below to change the name.
1. Delete the current device name by pressing the Back button repeatedly.
2. Enter device name (up to 32 characters).
3. Press the OK button.
Confirm request
Changes the confirmation screen setting when a Wi-Fi Direct compatible device is connecting
to the printer.
After pressing the OK button the confirmation screen is displayed. If you want the printer to
display the screen to inform you a Wi-Fi direct compatible device is connecting to the printer,
select ON.
Important
• To prevent an unauthorized access, we recommend you should not change the setting
from the default.
Note
• If you change the Wireless Direct setting of the printer, also change the wireless router setting of
the device.
