Menus Structure of the Control Center
With the Intelliguard 9000™ you perform different commands as easily as choos-
ing plates from a menu. In fact, there are Quick command keys as well as two menu
keys on the Intelliguard 9000™ control centers. For frequently used functions such
as arm, disarm and test, these Quick command keys make your life easier. The
other system functions are available using the mode or option keys. The control
center guides you through the chosen menu to the function you need.
Passcode Access with Authority Levels
All system users, received a user passcode with assigned authority level. Your
passcode identifies you as an authorized system user, while the authority level
determines which areas you are allowed to access and the commands and changes
you may perform.
Your passcode is divided in two parts. The two-digit ID which is assigned to you by
the system administrator is the first part. The second is the CODE, a personal and
secret four-digit number you must enter on the keypad each time you access the
system.
Some operations require two codes if greater security is desired.
Security through Honeywell Monitoring
Honeywell monitoring provides a complete supervision of your system, 24 hours a
day, by qualified professionals. Each alarm transmits a signal to the Honeywell
Customer Service Center. When an emergency situation occurs, the efficiency and
know-how of the monitoring station personnel may be the difference between a
minor incident and important losses.
Using this Guide
Not that you have an idea of what the Intelliguard 9000™ is all about, you are
ready to learn how to use it daily. Each section in this Guide describes a series of
commands, such as those used to arm or disarm the system. The Guide walks you
through the command structure, explaining what to do at each step, what you see on
the control center display as well as the area keypad, and what happens in the
system. You will soon realize how easy it is to operate the Intelliguard 9000™.
However, Honeywell recommends that you keep this Guide nearby.
