Insert the memory card into
the slot 1.
• Ensure that the notched corner
is facing in the correct direction.
• With the notched corner facing
in the direction illustrated, insert
the memory card until it clicks
into place.
• Use the slot 1 when you are only using one memory card. The slot 1 is
used in the default settings.
You can change which memory card slot to use by selecting MENU 
(Setup)  [Select Rec. Media].

Close the cover.
Hint
• When you use a memory card with the camera for the first time, it is
recommended that you format the card on the camera for more stable
performance of the memory card (page 80).

To remove the memory card

Open the memory card cover.
Make sure that the access lamp
(page 18) is not lit, and then
push in the memory card once to
remove it.
