Refer to the figure below and find the serial
number on the diskette-drive casting. Do not
remove any parts;

number is visible from
the top of the drive.
2.
Determine. if your diskette is a type
1
or type
2
drive.
Type 1 diskette drives have an A, B, or no
character before the serial number. Type
2
drives have a D.
3.
Make a note of the type of diskette drive(s)
you have.
