1 Plug the phone charger into a power outlet.
2 Plug one end of the USB cable into the charger (or into the USB port of a
computer).
3 Plug the other end of the cable into the micro USB port on your phone, with
the USB symbol facing up. The battery status LED lights up when charging
starts. If the battery is completely discharged, it may take a few minutes before
the LED lights up after you connect the phone charger cable to a power
source.
4 When the battery status LED is green, the phone is fully charged. Disconnect
the USB cable from your phone by pulling it straight outwards. Make sure not
to bend the connector when removing the cable from the phone.
Use the charger and USB cable provided with the phone to ensure faster charging.

Notes on USB cable usage and battery charging

• To charge your phone, Sony strongly recommends that you use only Sony branded
original batteries, a power supply which is in accordance with specification YD/T
1591-2006 (a Communications Industry standard of P. R. China), and the USB cable
supplied with your phone. The use of third-party products may decrease the
performance of your phone and/or pose a risk to your health or safety
Actual charging times may vary. When tested in laboratory conditions, the approximate
charging time for an empty battery is around 3 hours when utilizing the charger recommended
by Sony for your phone. Interrupted charging does not damage the battery. Performance
depends on temperature, signal strength, usage patterns, features selected and voice or data
transmissions. The standby time for this battery is up to 300 hours in GSM network; up to 400
hours in CDMA 2000 network (the test results are based on GSMA battery life test
technology).
Use only Sony branded original batteries intended for use with your mobile phone. If you use
other batteries you may not be able to charge your phone.
