"Route overview"

Route overview
"Route overview": in the north-pointing
map view, the route between location and des‐
tination is shown. This view is also selected
when the scale is set so wide that the following
is shown: "AUTO".
Additional information
General
The settings are stored for the current profile.

▷ "POI": symbols for points of interest are
shown. Display, see page 14.
▷ "Weather": weather symbols are
shown on the map.
Displayed symbols: clear skies, overcast
skies, rain, thunderstorms and snow, with
the current temperature in each case.
The weather information is automatically
updated.
The symbols are displayed in specific se‐
lected scales.
▷ With navigation system Professional:
"Satellite images": depending on availa‐
bility and resolution, satellite images are
shown as the background in several scales.
▷ 3D"Perspective view in 3D": distinctive lo‐
cations in the navigation data are shown on
the map in 3D.
▷ : display additional settings.

"Display points of interest": display points of
interest on map.
Map colour
"Map colour": according to lighting conditions,
select and alter settings.

With Professional Navigation
System: map view for split-
screen
Regardless of the main screen, the map view
can be selected for the split-screen.
1. Switching on split-screen.
2. Tilt the Controller repeatedly to the right
until the split-screen is selected.
3. Press the Controller.
4. Select map view.
▷ "Arrow view"
▷ "Map north-oriented"
▷ "Map in direction of travel"
▷ "Map perspective"
▷ "Position"
▷ "3D exit roads": selected sections of
route, for example motorway intersec‐
tions, are shown in perspective.
