Planning detours

The Infotainment System offers the
possibility of bypassing a specific part of
the calculated route (starting at the current
vehicle position).
Select the " " menu item on the
Detour
guidance screen.
The "Detour" menu is displayed.
Set the distance of the detour
between 1 and 10 km.
Select " ".
Calculate
An alternative route is calculated for
the specified distance (starting at the
current vehicle position).

Select " " to quit the "Detour"
Return
menu.
With active dynamic guidance the
"Detour" menu is automatically
opened when you approach the last
exit before a road obstruction. For this
to happen, it is necessary for the
Infotainment System to receive RDS
TMC and for the road obstruction to be
announced via RDS TMC.

Dynamic Guidance

TMC traffic information is taken into
account for dynamic guidance. If a road
obstruction has been announced on the
calculated route, the Infotainment System
automatically offers a detour.
When you approach the last exit before the
road obstruction, the Infotainment System
will inform you to this effect.
In addition to the " " menu text the
Detour
symbol appears on the route guidance

screen.
