  • Page 8 MEASUREMENT With the individual in a sitting position and with the cuff attached as previously mentioned, a blood pressure reading can be obtained. Note: For accurate pressure measurement, take blood-pressure readings in a seated position. Avoid the measurement is being taken. Ensure that the lower arm is raised so that the upper edge of the cuff is on the same level as the heart.
