    Connections Connecting the AV Controller Connecting Your Speakers The AV controller is designed to be used with a separate multichannel power amplifier. You connect the AV controller’s PRE OUT jacks to the amplifier’s inputs, and connect your speakers to the amplifier’s speakers terminals. Speaker settings such as crossover frequency and distance are set on the AV controller.

    Which Connections Should I Use? The AV controller supports several connection formats for compatibility with a wide range of AV equipment. The format you choose will depend on the formats supported by your components. Use the following sections as a guide. Video Connection Formats Video component can be connected by using any one of the following video connection formats: composite video, S-Video, PC IN (Analog RGB), component video or HDMI, the latter offering the best picture quality.

To use the same volume level as when the AV controller was last turned off, select “Last”.

    About HDMI Designed to meet the increased demands of digital TV, HDMI (High Definition Multimedia Interface) is a new digital interface standard for connecting TVs, projectors, Blu-ray Disc/DVD players, set-top boxes, and other video compo- nents.
