Calibrate the sensor when using
downloaded applications
To use some downloaded applications such as
the compass application, you should calibrate the
geomagnetic sensor in your device.
Rotate the device around all axes as shown below to
calibrate the sensor.

Getting started
•
Keep the touch screen or keypad facing up during
calibration.
•
Calibration may take some time, depending on
your location or other circumstances.
•
Calibration may not be possoble in areas with
strong magnetic fields. If the calibration fails, move
to another area and try again.
•
If you enter an area with strong magnetic fields
after calibration, your device will automatically
attempt to recalibrate the geomagnetic sensor.
