Advanced Security Settings

Configure trust agents, access application usage data, and set up a smart lock on your tablet.
1. From home, tap
2. Tap Security, and then tap an option:

Trust agents: A trust agent is a service (such as Smart Lock) that notifies the system
environment when the device is in a trusted location. This allows you to bypass the lock
screen when in a trusted location. This option is only available if a secure screen lock is set
(see Lock Screen
 Pin windows: Pin a specific app on your tablet's screen, preventing the use of other features
and apps on your tablet.
 Apps with access to usage data: View which applications can access your device's usage
data.

Smart Lock: Set a screen lock type to use. This option is only available if a secure screen
lock is set.
Note: A secure screen lock must be set before Trust agents and Smart Lock can be configured.

Activate This Device

Connect to the network and activate your tablet. If your tablet is already activated, use this option to view
information about your plan and usage.
1. From home, tap
2. Tap Activate this device, and then follow the prompts to activate your tablet on the network.

System Update Settings

Use System update options to update your tablet's internal software.
1. From home, tap
2. Tap System Update to use these options:

Update now: Manually check for software update.

Auto update: Check for updates automatically.

Wi-Fi only: Download software updates only when connected via Wi-Fi.

Update PRL: Download and the latest Preferred Roaming List (PRL), used by your tablet to
access the network.

Update Profile: Update the user profile related to your wireless service account. If you
choose to change your user name online, use this option to update the user name on your
tablet.
 UICC Unlock: Unlock your tablet's Universal Integrated Circuit Card.
