k To prevent water leaking into the camera, please observe the
following precautions before using it.
k Check that there is sufficient battery power and card memory
remaining.
k Do not open or close the battery cover or terminal cover in places
with sand and dust, or with wet hands.
k At the time of purchase, the battery cover lock is in the locked
position. When opening the battery cover, first release the lock.

Check that there is no foreign matter on the inner side of the battery
cover or terminal cover (where the rubber seal 1 contacts the
camera body 2).

h If the rubber seal inside the battery cover or terminal cover is cracked
or deformed, consult the store where the camera was purchased or a
nearby service centre.
