video unit should not ho placed in a built-in instillation

10) Powor Sources --- This vicl%o unit should be operated
only from the typo of powor source indicated on the
marking lab& If you aro not sure of the typa of power
supply to your home, consult your appliancs dealer or
local power company. For video units intended to be
operated from battary pOWQr, or other sources, rofor to
tho operating instructions.
11) ~rout~dit~g or ~olar~ation - This video unit may be
equipped with eilhst a polarizQd &wire AC (AltQfn~t~ng
CirrrQnt) line plug (a plug having one blade widar than
tha othor) or 3.wire groiri~ding type plug, a plug having a
third (grounding) pin.
VI\% 2-wire polarized plug will fit into tha powar outlQt
only onQ way. This ts a safety feature. If you are unable
to insort the plug fully into tho outlet, try raversing the
plug. If the ptug still fails to fit, contact your electrician to
roplaco your obsolete outl%t. Do not defeat the safety
purposa of th% polarizQd plug.
The 3-wire grounding type plug will lit into a grounding
type power outlat. This is a safety f%atur%. If you are
unable to irieert the plug into the outlet, contact your
oloctrician to r%placs your obsoloto outlet. Do not dafoat
th% safety purpose of tha grounding type plug.
12) Power-Cord Protection -~ow%r-supply cords shduld be
routed so that thay are not likely to be walksd on or
pinched by items placed upon or against them, paying
particular attention to cords of plugs, ConvQniQncQ
receptacles, and the point whers thay Qxit from the unit.
13) Outdoor AntQnna grounding - If an outside antontia or
cablo systarn is conn%ct%d to the video unit, 136 sur% tha
antenna or cable system is grounded so as to provida
SO~Q protection against voltage surges and built-up
static charges. Part 1 of the Canadian Electrical Code, in
USA Section 810 of th% National Electrical Cod%,
provides infornl~tiQr1 with respect to propar grounding of
tha mast and supposing structure, grollnding of the tead-
in wiro to an antenna discharge unit, size of grour~ding
conductors, location of antenna dischnrga unit,
connectton to grounding electrodes, and r%quirQmQnts
for the grounding elodrode.
14) Ligt~lr~ing-nor added protection of this video unit
rccoiver during a tightnirlg storm, or when it is laft
unaltendod and unused for long poriods of time, unplug
it from the wall oullet and clisconnect the antenna or
cable system. This will pravent damaga to tha vidoo unit
due to lightt~ing and power-line surgas.
'15) Power Lines - An outsida antenna system should not
bo located in the vicinity of overhead power lines or othar
olcctric light or power circuits, or whare it can fall into
such powar lines or circuits. When instilling an outsida
antenna system, oxtrente car% should Isa taken to keep
from touching such pow%r lines or circuits as contact with
thorn might be fatal.
16) Qvorloading - Do not overload wall outlsts and
oxtonsion cords as this can result in a risk of fire or
electric shock.
