One-Handed operation
Change the screen layout to accommodate
operating your device with one hand.
To enable One-handed Operation features:
1. From a Home screen, tap
Settings > Display and wallpaper >
One-handed operation.
2. Tap any of the following features and tap the
ON/OFF button for each to turn it on or off:
Reduce screen size: Reduce the screen size
so that you can reach all parts of the screen
with one hand.
One-handed input: Adjust the size and
position of the dialing keypad, in-call buttons,
Samsung keyboard, Calculator, and unlock
pattern (if configured).
Side key panel: Activate a panel of buttons
that includes the Home key, Recent apps, and
Back. The panel appears at the side of the
screen. When enabled, you can customize the
transparency, minimize behavior, and keys that
appear on the panel.
Automatically Rotate the Screen
Use the front camera to rotate the screen based on
the orientation of your face.
1. From a Home screen, tap
Settings.
2. Tap Display and wallpaper > Screen rotation to
turn the feature on.

Smart Stay

Using the front camera to detect your face, the
screen will not time out as long as you are facing
the screen.
1. From a Home screen, tap
Settings.
2. Tap Display and wallpaper > Smart stay to turn
the feature on.

Set the Screen Timeout Delay
Choose how long the display screen remains lit after
you tap the screen or press any key.
1. From a Home screen, tap
Settings.
2. Tap Display and wallpaper > Screen timeout,
and then choose a time period.
Select a Screen Mode
Choose a screen mode to match your type of
viewing. You can choose to have the device
automatically adapt the display depending on the
type of image being displayed, and other criteria
such as battery level.
1. From a Home screen, tap
Settings.
2. Tap Display and wallpaper > Screen mode, and
then choose a screen mode.
To have your device automatically optimize
the display to match the type of image being
displayed and other criteria, such as battery
level, tap Adaptive display.

Choose a specify type of screen mode based
on what your are viewing.
Auto Adjust the Screen Tone
Your device will analyze the images displayed on the
screen and automatically adjusts the brightness to
conserve battery power.
1. From a Home screen, tap
Settings.
2. Tap Display and wallpaper > Auto adjust
screen tone to turn the feature on.
