A. After several continuous high-
tcmperature bakingsor broilings,
tfwLOCKED light may come on,
The oven door can't be latched for
self-cleaning while the LOCKED
light is on. If this happens, let the
oivn cool until the LOCKED light
LUMS off. Then the oven door can

be latched for self-cleaning.
Q. What shouldI do if excessive
smokingoccursduring cleaning?
A. This is caused by excessivesoil.
Press the CANCEL button. Open
windowsto rid roomof smoke.Wait
untilthe ovenhas cooled (about
20-30minutes)and the wordLOCK
is off in the display.Wipe up the
excesssoil and reset the clean cycle.
Q. Is the "crackling"sound I
hear during cleaning normal?
A. Yes.This is the soundofthe metal
heatingand coolingduring both the
cookingand cleaning functions.
Q. Should there be any odor
during the cleaning?
A. Yes,there maybe a slightodor
during the first few cleanings.
Failure to wipe out excessivesoil
mightalso cause a strong odor
when cleaning.
Q. What causes the hair-like
lines on the enameled surface
of my oven?
A. This is a normal condition,
resulting from heating and cooling
during cleaning. These lines do not
affect how your oven performs.
