Important Safety Instructions
When using your telephone equipment, basic safety
precautions should always be followed to reduce the risk
of fire, electric shock and injury to persons, including the
following:
• Read and understand all instructions.
• Follow all warnings and instructions marked on
the product.
• Unplug this product from the wall outlet before cleaning.
Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners. Use a
damp cloth for cleaning.
• Do not use this product near water, for example, near a
bathtub, washbowl, kitchen sink, or laundry tub, in a wet
basement, or near a swimming pool.
• Avoid using a telephone (other than a cordless type)
during an electrical storm. There may be a remote risk of
electric shock from lightning.
• Do not use this telephone to report a gas leak in the
vicinity of the leak.
• Use only the power cord and batteries indicated in this
manual. Do not dispose of batteries in a fire. They may
explode. Check with local codes for possible special
disposal instructions.
Safety Instructions for Batteries
Caution: Risk of explosion if battery is replaced by an
incorrect type. Dispose of used batteries according to
the instructions.
1. Use only two (2) AAA alkaline batteries in
your neckloop.
2. Do not dispose of the battery in a fire as it may explode.
Check with local codes for possible special disposal
instructions.
3. Do not open or mutilate the battery. Released
electrolyte is corrosive and may cause damage to the
eyes and skin. It may be toxic if swallowed.
4. Exercise care in handling batteries in order not to short
the battery with conducting materials such as rings,
bracelets and keys. The battery or conduction material
may over-heat and cause burns.

Battery Installation
1. Install the two (2) AAA batteries
in the battery compartment.
2. Close by sliding battery door and
snapping into place.
3. Insert screw to secure.
Battery Life
The battery life will depend upon usage and volume levels.
The life of the batteries should last up to 30 to 40 hours
before needing replaced.
Volume Control
The CE30 provides up to 30 dB of amplification. The
volume is controlled by the power/volume dial located on
top of the neckloop.
To Make or Receive a Call
1. Place neckloop around neck by connecting the quick
disconnect. Be sure that the quick disconnect is closed
securely in order for the CE30 to work properly.
2. Connect the 2.5mm plug into a telephone's
2.5mm headset jack.
3. Turn your hearing aid to "MT" or "T" mode.
4. While unit is around neck, turn the Power/Volume
dial to the left for power to turn ON. The green LED
will appear.
5. Make or Receive a call using the telephone. (For your
telephone's operation, please see its user guide)
6. The CE30 features a built-in microphone, allowing for
hands-free communication when plugged into a 2.5mm
headset jack.
7. Adjust the volume to desired level using the dial on top
of unit. Note: The volume on the telephone may also
need to be adjusted.
8. When call is complete, turn dial off and unplug the
CE30
adapter from telephone.
9. Please reset the hearing aid if needed.
Important: If your telephone does not have a 2.5mm
jack an adapter may be needed. Check with your
CE30
telephone's manufacturer.
Adapter
The CE30 comes with a 3.5mm adapter. This allows
the user to use the neckloop with a 3.5 audio equipped
telephone, CD player, MP3 player or any other device that
CE30
contains an 8-16 Ohm audio output through a 3.5mm jack.
Note: When the CE30 is plugged into a 3.5mm port
on a telephone, the microphone will not pick up your
conversation. You must speak into the receiver on the
CE30
telephone.
