This appliance is designed for domestic
and not industrial use.
Please read these operating instructions
carefully and retain!
These operating instructions refer to several
models:
- Basic model (Fig. I) with On/Off switch only.
- Model (Fig. II) has an additional switch for
cup selection.
- Model (Fig. III) automatically switches off
after 2 hours. It can also be switched off
manually like the other models.

Electric shock risk
Connect and operate the appliance only in
accordance with the specifications on the rating
plate.
Do not use the appliance if the power cord
and/or appliance are damaged.
Keep children away from the appliance to
prevent them from playing with the appliance.
Do not allow persons (also children) with
restricted physical sensory perception or
mental abilities or with lack of experience and
knowledge to operate the appliance unless they
are supervised or have been instructed in the
use of the appliance by somebody who is
responsible for their safety.
After using the appliance or if a fault develops,
always pull out the mains plug.
To protect the user, all repairs to the appliance,
e.g. replacement of the power cord, should be
carried out only by our customer service.
Do not use damaged filters.

Important information
The coffee maker may be operated with the
BRITA Maxtra filter cartridge only. This can be
purchased from our customer service, quoting
order no. 463675.
Do not use the appliance without the filter
holder.
Observe the fill marks max 15/10 and max 13;
if the appliance is operated without a filter,
fill with water up to max 13 only, otherwise the
jug will overflow.
Before using your
appliance for the first time

To clean the appliance, fill the water tank 6
with water up to the max 13 mark and flush
the appliance without a filter cartridge 11.
Repeat the process. The new appliance may
emit a harmless odour.
In this case flush the appliance with a diluted
vinegar solution (2 cups of vinegar to 6 cups of
water), then flush the appliance twice as
described above.
