The following table lists the error messages and other warnings that appear
in the monitor and how to deal with them.

Please turn the lens to
the shooting position

to finish recording

Problem
Clock calendar not
set.
Battery exhausted.
Camera cannot focus.
Slow shutter speed.
Photos may be blurred.
Lens is blocked by
camera body.
Camera turned off or
playback mode se-
lected while pictures
are being saved.
Camera can not de-
tect memory card.
Solution
Set clock calendar to cur-
rent date and time.
Turn camera off and re-
place battery.
Use focus lock to focus on
another subject at same
distance, then recompose
photograph.
Use the flash, or steady the
camera by mounting it on
a tripod, placing it on a lev-
el surface, or holding it in
both hands with your el-
bows against your torso.
Rotate lens until message
is no longer displayed.
Message clears from dis-
play automatically when
recording is complete.
Turn camera off and con-
firm that memory card is
correctly inserted.
