    Turn Your Phone Off 1. Press and hold the Power/Lock button to open the Phone options menu. Note: When the screen is locked and you press the Power/Lock button it will only turn off the screen and not the phone. You will need to unlock the screen first before you press and hold the Power/Lock button to turn the phone off.

    Touch and Hold To open the available options for an item (for example, a contact or link in a Web page), touch and hold the item. Swipe or Slide Quickly swipe your finger vertically or horizontally across the screen to go to other widget panels, scroll through documents, and more.

Flick Flicking the screen is similar to swiping, except that you need to swipe your finger in light, quick strokes. Activate Your Phone Follow the instructions below to activate your phone if it has not already been activated. Depending on your account or how and where you purchased your phone, it may be ready to use or you may need to activate it on your Sprint account.

    Copy Files To or From Your Phone You can copy your music, photos, and other files to your phone. Important: Save and close your files before copying them from your computer to HTC One (M8), or vice versa. Note: If you're using your SD card as internal storage, your computer will only show SD card content.
