12�1�7 VPN settings
A mobile virtual private network (mobile VPN or mVPN) provides mobile
devices with access to network resources and software applications
on their home network, when they connect via other wireless or wired
networks. Mobile VPNs are used in environments where workers need to
keep application sessions open at all times, throughout the working day,
as the user connects via various wireless networks, encounters gaps in
coverage, or suspend-and-resumes their devices to preserve battery life. A
conventional VPN cannot survive such events because the network tunnel
is disrupted, causing applications to disconnect, time out, fail, or even the
computing device itself to crash.

12�1�8 Mobile networks
Data enabled
Touch to enable or disable data access over Mobile network.
Data roaming
If you don't need to transmit data on other provider's mobile networks,
unmark the checkbox of Data roaming to avoid incurring significant
roaming charges.
Access point names
You can select your preferred network with this menu.
Network operators
You can select a network operator manually or automatically.

12�2�1 Sound
Use the Sound settings to configure many aspects of call and notification
ringtones, music, and other audio settings.
• Volume: Touch to set volume for Media, Ringtone, Notifications and
Alarms.
• Phone ringtone: Touch to set your default incoming call ringtone.
• Vibrate when ringing: Mark the checkbox to enable vibrate and ringtone
at the same time.
• Default notification: Touch to set the default sound for notifications.
• Dial pad touch tones: Mark the checkbox to enable playing tones
when using dial pad.
• Audible selection: Mark the checkbox to enable playing sound when
making screen selection.
• Screen lock sound: Mark the checkbox to enable playing sounds when
locking and unlocking the screen.
• Haptic feedback: Touch to activate or deactivate vibration when
pressing soft keys and on certain UI interactions.
• Power on ringtone: Touch to activate or deactivate your power on
ringtone.
• Power off ringtone: Touch to activate or deactivate your power off
ringtone.

• Lock screen notifications: Mark the checkbox to show notifications
on lock screen.
• Wallpaper: Touch to set the wallpaper.
• Brightness: Touch to enable automatically adjust the brightness of
the screen.
