Your first week with your new phone
Limit background data and sync
Background data and sync can use a lot of battery power if you have many apps
syncing data in the background. Determine which apps can be set with longer sync
times, or sync manually.
§ If you have many email accounts, consider manually syncing some accounts.
§ In Play Store, tap
avoid automatically adding Home screen app shortcuts whenever you've
installed new apps. Also tap Auto-update apps > Do not auto-update apps if
you're fine with updating apps from Play Store manually.
Other tips
To squeeze in a little bit more battery power, try these tips:
§ Tone down the ringtone and media volume.
§ Minimize the use of vibration or sound feedback. In Settings, tap Audio profiles

§ Check your apps' settings as you may find more options to optimize the battery.

Personalizing HTC Dot View
If you bought the HTC Dot View
app to personalize what's seen through the case.

Choose a preset wallpaper, or create your own dotted wallpaper from a photo.
1. In the HTC Dot View app, tap Theme.
2. Choose a preset pattern as your wallpaper.
To create your own wallpaper, tap

3. If you selected or taken a photo, crop the photo, and then tap Done.
4. Tap Apply.
For best results when creating your own wallpaper, use a simple image with distinct
colors between the subject and background. For example, use an image that shows a
high-contrast subject on a simple background.
