Connect the LVDS cable to the connector on the motherboard.

Attach the EMI cover to the new LCD module.

Line up the optical housing with the guide track on the LCD module, then slide the housing
into position and secure the housing with the three screws.

Attach the hard disk drive to the new LCD module.
r.
Secure the rear cover to the new LED module with the six screws.
s.
Attach the hinge to the chassis and secure it with the four screws.
t.
Line up the foot cover with rear cover, then slide the foot cover into position.
Step 26. Reattach the stand base with hinge.

Replacing the LCD panel module-None Touch

Note: Turn off the computer and wait 3 to 5 minutes to let it cool down before removing the cover.
Note: It may be helpful to place the computer face-down on a soft flat surface for this procedure. Lenovo
recommends that you use a blanket, towel, or other soft cloth to protect the computer screen from scratches
or other damage.
To replace the LCD panel module:
Step 1.
Remove any media (disks, CDs, DVDs, or memory cards) from the drives, shut down the operating
system, and turn off the computer and all attached devices.
Step 2.
Unplug all power cords from electrical outlets.
Step 3.
Disconnect all cables attached to the computer. This includes power cords, input/output (I/O)
cables, and any other cables that are connected to the computer. Refer to "Left and right view"
and "Rear view" for help with locating the various connectors.
Step 4.
Remove the stand base. Refer to "Removing the stand base".
Step 5.
Remove the foot cover. Refer to "Removing the foot cover".
Step 6.
Remove the hinge. Refer to "Removing the stand hinge".
Step 7.
Remove the hard disk drive. Refer to "Replacing hard disk drive".
Step 8.
Remove the optical drive. Refer to "Replacing the optical drive".
Step 9.
Remove the rear cover. Refer to "Removing the rear cover".
Step 10. Remove the power switch board. Refer to "Replacing the power switch board".
Step 11. Remove the converter board. Refer to "Replacing the converter board".
Step 12. Remove the EMI cover. Refer to "Removing the EMI cover".
Step 13. Remove the speaker system. Refer to "Replacing the speaker system".
Step 14. Remove the camera. Refer to "Replacing the camera".
Step 15. Remove the seventeen screws that secure the chassis to the front bezel.
