1. When the child restraint system is
installed in a forward−facing position:
Remove the head restraint.
CAUTION
Do not replace the head restraint

when the child restraint system is
installed. The head restraint may in-
terfere with the child restraint sys-
tem cannot be securely restrained.
This may cause death or serious
injuries in a collision.
Do not leave the removed head re-

straint inside the cabin. It may hit
a passenger when the brakes are
applied, which could cause severe
injuries or death.

2. Run the lap and shoulder belt through
or around the convertible seat following
the instructions provided by
manufacturer and insert the tab into
the buckle taking care not to twist the
belt. Keep the lap portion of the belt
tight.
