Extending Battery Life

• Turn off the display backlight
The backlight uses power. To turn it off, see
page "Initial Setup" on page 55.
• Minimize keypad-intense functions
Activities that require intensive keystroke use
(such as playing a game or using messaging)
reduce your phone's talk and standby time. Lock the
keypad when storing the phone in your purse or
pocket to avoid unnecessary keypad and backlight
activations. See page 137.
