In the P550R chassis, each power supply powers approximately four
media modules.
In the P880/P882 chassis, each power supply powers approximately
seven media modules.
It takes two power supplies to power a full chassis. Using three
power supplies ensures that the system has redundant power
sharing capabilities.
* Note: Before you install the module in the chassis, determine
how much power is currently available in your switch.
Select Power System from the System >
Configuration > group in the Web interface window.
Use Table 1 for the precise power values:

* Notes:
• All Cajun media modules are hot swappable. You do
not need to shut down the switch when adding
modules.
• All Cajun 80 Series media modules can be upgraded
from Layer 2 to Layer 3. Contact your Avaya Sales
Representative for details.
To install modules in the switch chassis:
1. Carefully remove the module from its box, leaving the
module in its anti-static wrapping.
2. Remove the module from the antistatic wrap after taking
appropriate antistatic precautions (refer to Chapter 1,
"Installation" in the Avaya Cajun Switch Installation Guide for
more information on proper antistatic precautions).
