Instrument Panel Indicators

The instrument panel has many
indicators to give you important
information about your vehicle.
Seat Belt Reminder
Indicator
This indicator comes on when you
turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position. It reminds you and your
passengers to fasten your seat belts.
A beeper also sounds if you have not
fastened your seat belt.
If you do not fasten your seat belt,
the beeper will stop after a few
seconds but the indicator stays on.
Both the indicator and the beeper
stay off if you fasten your seat belt
before turning on the ignition switch.
If you continue driving without
fastening your seat belt, the beeper
sounds and the indicator flashes
again at regular intervals.

Supplemental Restraint
System Indicator
This indicator comes on when you
turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position. If it comes on at any
other time, it indicates a potential
problem with your front airbags.
This indicator will also alert you to a
potential problem with your side
airbags, passenger's side airbag
automatic cutoff system, or
automatic seat belt tensioners. For
more information, see page 26 .
U.S. Canada
Side Airbag Off
Indicator
This indicator comes on when you
turn the ignition switch to the ON
(II) position. If it comes on at any
other time, it indicates that the
passenger's side airbag has
automatically shut off. For more
information, see page 27 .
