Stop engine.
NOTICE − Do not run engine with-
out air cleaner or with dirty element.

Precleaner
Wash precleaner with soap and wa-

ter solution. Allow precleaner to air
dry completely.
Spread 1 tablespoon SAE 30 oil

evenly into precleaner. Squeeze
out excess oil.

Element
Replace element if damaged, dirty,
or oily.

Stop engine. Disconnect
negative (−) battery cable.

Fuse F1 (See Section 11-1)
F1 protects the weld excitation
winding from overload. If F1 opens,
weld output stops or is low.

Fuse F2 (See Section 11-1)
F2 protects the generator power
excitation winding from overload. If
F2 opens, generator power output
stops or is low.

Fuse F6 (See Section 11-1)
F6 protects the engine wiring sys-
tem from overload. If F6 opens,
engine will not crank.
Replace any open fuses. Reinstall
cover before operating.

If a fuse opens, it usually indi-
cates a more serious problem
exists. Contact a Factory Au-
thorized Service Agent.
