Write and send messages
Your device supports the sending of text messages beyond the normal 160-
character limit. If your message exceeds 160 characters, it will be sent as a
series of two or more messages. The number of available characters / the
current part number of a multipart message are shown on the top right of
the display, for example 120/2. Note that using special (Unicode) characters
take up more space.
1. Select Menu >
2. Enter a message. See

3. To send the message, select Send.
The messages that you send are saved in the
setting Save sent messages
on page 40.
4. Enter the recipient's phone number or search for the phone number in
Contacts. Select OK to send the message.
Options for sending a message
After you have written a message, select Options >
Send to many you can send the message to several recipients. With
profile you can use a predefined message profile to send the message. To
define a message profile, see
