Updating Software Manually
Operate handset where signal reception is good and without
changing location. Also operate with adequate battery charge.
Signal becoming weak or Battery becoming low during an
update may cause an update failure.
・Remove Micro USB Cable (optional accessory) from handset
beforehand; otherwise, Software Update may not complete
properly.
・An update failure may disable handset.

Operating by Gripping Handset
(Grip Magic)
Set actions that occur when handset is picked up or set down.
Grip Magic
Use Grip Magic to perform preset actions when grasping Grip
Sensor Areas or when setting down handset and releasing Grip
Sensor Areas.
The following actions are set by default.

Grip Magic Cautions
Grasping Grip Sensor
Grip Sensor responds to touch on both the right and left
of handset. As Grip Sensor does not respond when touched
on only one side, be sure to touch Grip Sensor on both
sides.
Releasing Grip Sensor
Release Grip Sensor on both sides. If one side remains
contacted, Grip Sensor will continue to react.
General Use
Grip Magic may not function properly in the following
cases.
・Operation with gloves worn
・Operation while a metal object is in contact with Grip
Sensor
・Operation when handset is wet
・Attaching or detaching a cover while Grip Magic is
enabled
(Disable Grip Magic, then enable it again.)
