Connecting audio

To connect to a Meridian 568.2 or 861
Digital Surround Processor (digital

598 DVD Audio Player

LINK
Connect the SMART LINK output on the 598 to the SMART
LINK input on the 568.2, using the Smart Link cable supplied
with the 568.2
In the Decode bitstream in player menu set the Main
outputs option to Yes; see To select the digital audio format,
page 46.
Set the Multichannel menu option to Yes; see To enable the
multi-channel outputs, page 48.
To connect to an 861 use three digital phono leads.

Connect the L/R output on the 598 to the DIGITAL IN on the
digital sound processor.
