SYMPTOM

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
CAUSE
AC cord not
connected.
CD Compartment
door not closed.
Disc inserted
incorrectly.
Dirty or defective CD. Try another disc.
Moisture
condensation on disc.
VOLUME control
set to minimum.
Defective disc.
Dirty or defective
disc.
Volume set too low.
properly.
FM: Antenna is not
properly adjusted.
AM: Unit is not pos-
itioned correctly.
SOLUTION
Check AC cord
connection.
Close CD Compartment
door.
Reinsert disc correctly.
Wipe disc with soft cloth.
Increase volume.
Try another disc.
Clean or replace disc.
Slide the FUNCTION
switch to AM or FM.
Increase volume.
Retune the AM or FM
broadcast station.
Reorient FM
antenna.
Rotate unit until best
reception is obtained.
