To Stop Dispensingon
Release pressurefrom cradle and
withdrawslowlyto catch lastbits
of ice or dropsof water.
Some slight drippingmay occur
followingdispensingof crushedice
orchilledwater.If excessive,the spill
shouldbe wiped dry immediately.
Do not pour water in spillshelf
becauseit isnot self draining—pour
it in kitchen sink.The shelf and its
grilleshouldbe cleaned regularly
accordingto instructions on page13.
If Ice Clumps Form in
Storage Bin...
The icemaker ejects cubes in
groupsof five, and it isnormalfor
severalcubesto be joined together.
However,infrequentusageof ice
can cause ice clumpsto form in the
storagebin, resultingintemporaw
malfunctionof the dispenser
mechanism.
If this happens:
remove storage bin from freezer
compartment.
. break up ice clumpswithfingertip
pressureand discardremaining
clumps.
. replace bin before remaining
cubes melt and fuse together.
To Remove Ice Cube
Storage Bin
1. Slide ice storage cover straight
upuntil it disengagesand removeit.
2. Lift ieft front corner to free bin
from shelf, and pull bin straightout
while supportingit at front andback.
To Replace Ice Cube
Storage Bin
Slide the bin back until the tab on
the bin locksintothe slot in the
shelf.

Mechanism
If bin does not go all the way
back,remove it and rotatethe
drive mechanism1/4 turn. Then
pushbin backagain until the tab
on the bin locksinto the slot in
the shelf.
If
Ice Is Used Infrequently.. .
"old'"ice cubeswill becomecloudy
andtaste stale.Empty ice storage
bin periodicallyand wash it in Iuk&
warmwater. Be sure to allow stor-
age bin to coolbefore replacingit—
otherwiseice cubeswill stickto the
metalauger.

to OFF (up) Positionwhen . ..

valve in the water supply line to

You'llhear occasionalsoundsthat
maybe unfamiliar. T hese are normal
icemakingsoundsandare notcause
for concern.
Liftthe left corner to free the
binfromthe shelf, and pullthe bin
straightout while supportingit at
front and back.
