Using the phone book

Every character selected will be
transmitted immediately.
To send a phone book entry as a DTMF

sequence: select Name by turning cVd the
COMAND controller and press W to
confirm.
Select the desired phone book entry and
X
press W to confirm.
The entry is sent as a DTMF character
string.
To return to the call display: select
X
Back and press W to confirm.
Using the phone book
Introduction
The phone book displays the names and
phone numbers of all of the address book
entries saved in the COMAND address book.
If an address book entry has no phone
number, the entry does not appear in the
phone book.
Calling up the phone book
Overview
Select Name in the telephone basic menu
X
by sliding VÆ and turning cVd the
COMAND controller and press W to
confirm.
If the phone book contains entries, these
will be displayed alphabetically. Character
bar = is active.
The character bar serves to reduce the
number of entries needed.

Searching for a phone book entry
With character bar
You determine the first letter of the entry you
are looking for with the first character you
enter.
Select a character by turning cVd the
X
COMAND controller and press W to
confirm.
The first entry which starts with the
selected letter is highlighted in the list. If
there are similar entries, the next character
which is different will be displayed. For
example, the entries Christel and
Christine begin with the same character
strings. In this particular case, you would
be able to choose from the letters E and I.
