HS-volt models require a 115/120-
volt a.c., 60 hz grounded outlet
protected with a 15amp time delay
fise or circuit breaker.
The power cord on these modelshas
a three-prong (grounding)plug that
mates with a standard three-prong
(grounding)wall outlet (Fig. 1)to
minimize the possibility of electric
shock h=rd from these appliances.

Because of potential safety hazards
under certain conditions, 'we
strongly recoH]Rmend against use
of an adayter plug. However,
if you still elect to use an adapter,
where local codes permit, a

t he ~wer cord
from the adapter, alwayshold the
adapter with one hand. If this is not
done, the adapter ground terminal is
verylikelyto breakwith repeateduse.
Should the adapter ground
terminal break, DO N~
USE the
appliance until a proper ground
has again been es~blished.
Because of potential safety
hazards under certain conditio~~s,
we.strongly
recomend
against the
use of an extension cord. However,
if you still elect to use an extension
cord, it is absolutely necessary that
it be a UL listed.3-wire grounding
type appliance extension cord and
that the current carrying rating of
the cord in amperes be equal to or
greater than the branch circuit size
shown on the -ratingnameplate of
the appliance. Such extension cords
are obtainable througl~yot%r
