    Playback PLAYBACK AND RECORDING FEATURES Take advantage of special functions possible with the recorder’s controls or the remote control.     Picture System MENU PUSH JOG Your VCR is equipped with the B.E.S.T. (Biconditional Equalized Signal Tracking) feature, which checks the condition of the tape in use during recording and playback, and compensates to provide the highest-possible recording and playback pictures.

    If for some reason the remote control's signal is not received by the VCR, press MENU as many times as necessary to return to the normal screen and extinguish all illuminated buttons, and re-perform the timer programming procedure from the beginning.

In this case, make sure the mode is not engaged, then set the tape speed manually during timer programming.

    Control Two JVC VCRs The supplied remote control is capable of controlling two JVC VCRs independently using the A/B CODE switch. You can set this VCR so it responds to remote commands only when the switch is set to B, and another VCR so it responds to commands when the switch is set to A.

    PUSH JOG This function makes it easier to create edited videos when your VCR is used as the source player in combination with another VCR equipped with a Remote PAUSE Connector. You can pre- program up to 8 scenes or “cuts” for automatic editing in the sequence you have specified.
