Capturing a Still Image
with Sound
Available in [, ], ;, ', , or . mode
You can record up to 10 seconds of sound
while capturing each still image. The built-in
microphone is used for sound recording.
Microphone

Turn on the camera in the desired mode.

Press the MENU button until the menu
screen appears.

Press l or m to select "P", then
press the SET button.

Press l or m to select "VOICE REC.",
then press the SET button.

Press l or m to select "ON", then press
the SET button.

Press the MENU button to turn off the
menu screen.

Capture the still image (see page 13).
• The camera captures a still image with
10 seconds of sound.
To quit the sound recording manually
Press the Shutter button.
Notes:
• See page 40 for previewing a still image with
sound.
• You can only record with sound when the
SHOOTING MODE menu is set to SINGLE.
• If an image has a sound file attached, the image
protection setting will protect both files.
