    Storing Names and Numbers in the Directory You can store names and phone numbers in the directory. The cordless handset can store up to 50 items. All directory items are sorted by the first word in alphabetical order. Using the directory, you can make a call by selecting a name on the display.

After subscribing to a Caller ID service, the calling party’s information will be displayed after the first ring. The unit can record information of up to 30 different callers in the Caller List.

    Viewing the Caller List If you have received new calls, “Received calls” will be displayed in the standby mode. Caller List information includes the caller’s name and phone number, and the time and date the call was received. Make sure that the cordless handset is in the standby mode. Press to enter the list.

    You can use the Voice Mail System by accessing your mailbox. Each cordless handset user can only access his/her own mailbox. The general delivery mailbox is managed by the base unit user (operator). The cordless handset users can access this mailbox. You can also access the Voice Mail System features remotely from a touch tone phone.

    Setting the handset answer mode If you turn ON the answer mode of your handset, calls will be greeted with a greeting message (see on the right) and callers can leave messages in your mailbox. To take calls, leave this mode OFF (factory preset).

    Using an Optional Headset Plugging an optional headset into the cordless handset allows a hands-free phone conversation. Please use only the Panasonic KX-TCA88 headset.
