Chromebook
From the Connection preferences screen, tap Chromebook to set
connections with a Chromebook device.
Connecting your phone to Chromebook allows you to send/receive text,
synchronize chat notifications, share files, and share mobile data conection
with your Chromebook. You may also unlcok your Chromebook with your
phone.
Nearby Share
From the Connection preferences screen, tap Nearby Share to set Nearby
Share preferences.
Use Nearby Share: use the toggle switch
Nearby Share.
Account & device
Account name: displays your Google account name. Tap to choose or
add an account.
Device name: displays the default device name to be visible by your
nearby contacts.
Device visibility: tap to set device visibility to your contacts. You may
set your device visible to everyone, selected contacts or hide some
contacts.
Data: tap to set data usage. You may select to use Data (charges may
apply), Wi-Fi only, or Without internet (shared offline) as the sharing
channel.
Show notification: if enabled, it will notify you when devices are sharing
nearby. Use the toggle switch
Notes:
1.
You may have to verify your phone number when you use Nearby Share
for the first time.
2.
Nearby Share scans nearby contacts/devices through Bluetooth.
To use Nearby Share
1.
Open the file you want to share
2.
Tap the Share icon
3.
Tap on More
Tap on NEARBY
4.
to share your file.
