Installation Procedures
21. Set up the Encryption tab to match the encryption being used on the
access point.
If the access point is not using encryption, be sure that the Enable
encryption checkbox is not checked as shown below.
However, if encryption is being used, check the Enable encryption
checkbox and select the appropriate Transmit key option. The
transmit key is the key which will be used by the client bridge to
encrypt messages sent via the PC card.
Enter up to four encryption key values. The values may be either text
(ASCII) strings or hexadecimal numbers. The table below
summarizes the rules for entering the encryption keys.

All keys entered in this window must be of the same encryption
level (40-bit or 128-bit).
Hexadecimal values must be preceded by 0x and are composed of
the numbers 0 to 9 and letters A through F (or a through f).
ASCII keys must not begin with 0x.
A key must always be entered in the key4 field. This value is
used by the system to determine whether the key is 40 or 128-bit.
The value in key4 must be in the correct format and it must be
the same length as the other key. The easiest way to make sure it
is correct is to copy the other key and paste it into the key4 field.
22. Select the Update and Reset Unit button.
